Myers Park Estate Transformation
Myers Park, Charlotte · 2024
The Challenge
The homeowner wanted to modernize the entry of their 1940s colonial estate without sacrificing the home's historic character. Existing wood doors had failed both aesthetically and functionally — bowed frames, failed weatherstripping, and a tired finish that no longer matched the family's investment in the property.
Sightline's Solution
Sightline walked the homeowner through our tubular steel options, designed a custom door system with slender sightlines and clear glass panels, handled all precise field measurements, and our dedicated Charlotte team completed a spotless installation while the family lived in the home. We coordinated directly with the homeowner's interior designer to align hardware finishes with the broader renovation.
The Results
The finished installation became the centerpiece of a full home renovation, featured in two Charlotte design publications and generating significant referral business. The homeowner now refers to it as 'the door that changed the house.'
"We cannot imagine the house without these doors now. They elevated the entire property."
